Fraxel Laser firm Reliant Technologies, Inc. has announced that it has closed a $22 million round of funding led by Meritech Capital Partners. The market for skin resurfacing has been strong and Reliant has had a successful product on the market for some time.

"These additional funds will enable us to aggressively build our marketing, clinical education and distribution infrastructure worldwide, support our ongoing technology developments and broaden Reliant's role as a market leader."
Reliant Technologies is a manufacturer of medical laser technologies
for aesthetic and cosmetic surgery. The Company's laser device, the Fraxel Laser, is used primarily by aesthetic physicians, or cosmetic surgeons, to treat pigmented lesions, periorbital wrinkles, and photo-damaged skin of the face and body.
Reliant pioneered the development of the Fraxel Laser, which relies on new-generation fractional resurfacing to produce safe and effective results with minimal recovery time.
